Arthur Morgan

Settled into the north of the site to avoid the shade of the trees and make the most of the sun, The community centre is specifically designed to create outdoor spaces that are inviting for people to congregate. It does this by sliding down the middle, creating two squares at the front and the back. The two pitched roofs are gently rising in opposite directions, and this is done to allow sunlight to reach the north rooms, and it also helps to determine the celebration room and the workshop as the predominant rooms as they have taller ceilings. The orientation of the buildings are in such a way to imitate the neighbouring polytunnels.
