The new community hub was designed to contribute to both the local community and its environment. The positioning of the building allows for ample amounts of daylight to penetrate all indoor and commonly used outdoor spaces.

The low-rise structure accommodates multiple spaces which are all orientated around the central courtyard which enables people to congregate and enjoy the sunlight throughout the day. The surrounding spaces are comprised of toilets, kitchens and activity rooms which are strategically placed with regards to activity, sun exposure and accessibility. Organic materials such as timber were used to develop a natural aesthetic to harmonise with the environment.
